Zippy the Hummingbird’s Garden Quest

A flash of green and red sparks a garden adventure—and a mission to help nature thrive.
When Lila and Mateo spot something tiny zipping through their school garden, they're captivated. It's not a bug. It's not a fairy. It's a hummingbird!
With help from their teacher, Miss Nia, they name their new visitor Zippy and set out to transform their playground into a pollinator paradise.
From planting native flowers and making feeders to keeping curious cats away, the students discover simple ways to care for the creatures around them. Along the way, they learn that even small acts can make a meaningful difference.
Zippy the Hummingbird’s Garden Quest combines an uplifting story with hummingbird facts, eco-tips, and creative prompts that encourage children to explore and care for the natural world.
Perfect for ages 5–9, this joyful nature adventure celebrates curiosity, teamwork, empathy, and the idea that even tiny wings—and tiny actions—can have a big impact.
